PURPOSE
Section 17.05 Review to approve temporary art installation at the Oregon Hill Overlook, as reviewed by the Public Art Commission, and at other city-owned locations.

SUMMARY & RECOMMENDATION
A proposal has been made by Ted Elmore to the Public Art Commission in order to allow a temporary art installation at the Oregon Hill Overlook, which is City-owned property located at the southern terminus of South Pine Street. Local artist Chris Milk Hulburt will be creating the theme for the Oregon Hill Overlook installation. He and Mr. Elmore will be responsible for maintenance and repair of the sculpture. If installed, the sculpture would face Oregon Hill, angled upriver with a view of the James River in the background. The installation may also be illuminated. The intended date of installation is May 26, 2014 ...
