To repeal Res. No. 2009-R22-30, adopted Mar. 9, 2009, concerning a major snowstorm, Res. No. 2011-R93-92, adopted Sept. 6, 2011, concerning Hurricane Irene, Res. No. 2020-R041, Jun. 8, 2020, concerning civil unrest, and Res. No. 2021-R006, adopted Jan. 11, 2021, concerning potential civil unrest, for the purpose of terminating the respective states of emergency.

WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Richmond, as the City’s Director of Emergency Management, declared that certain states of emergency existed as a result of a major snowstorm, Hurricane Irene, civil unrest, and potential civil unrest; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 44-146.21(A) of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, the Council consented to the Mayor’s declaration of such states of emergency by Resolution No. 2009-R22-30, adopted March 9, 2009, concerning a major snowstorm, Resolution No. 2011-R93-92, adopted September 6, 2011, concerning Hurricane Irene, Resolution No. 2020-R041, June 8, 2020, concerning civil unrest, and Resolution No. 2021-R006, adopted January 11, 2021, concerning potential civil unrest; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 44-146.2l(A) of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, the Council must take appropriate action to end these declared emergencies;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND:
That, pursuant to section 44-146.2l(A) of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, Resolution No. 2009-R22-30, adopted March 9, 2009, concerning a major snowstorm, Resolution No. 2011-R93-92, adopted September 6, 2011, concerning Hurricane Irene, Resolution No. 2020-R041, adopted June 8, 2020, concerning civil unrest, and Resolution No. 2021-R006, adopted January 11, 2021, concerning potential civil unrest, be and are hereby repealed, as those respective states of emergency no longer exist.
