To appoint Paul Van Lenten to the position of Council Budget Analyst.

WHEREAS, the City Council has determined its need for independent fiscal analysis and has established the position of Council Budget Analyst by adopting section 2-32 of the Code of the City of Richmond (2020), as amended; and
WHEREAS, the City Council’s Interim Chief of Staff has interviewed and examined the qualifications of Paul Van Lenten and determined that Paul Van Lenten meets all qualifications for the position of Council Budget Analyst; and
WHEREAS, the City Council’s Interim Chief of Staff has recommended that the City Council appoint Paul Van Lenten to the position of Council Budget Analyst in accordance with section 2-32 of the Code of the City of Richmond (2020), as amended;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND:
That Paul Van Lenten is hereby appointed to the position of Council Budget Analyst for an indefinite term beginning January 30, 2023, provided the appointee has satisfied all necessary pre-hiring requirements.
