To amend City Code § 2-896, concerning the administration of the Maggie L. Walker Initiative Citizens Advisory Board, for the purpose of modifying the quorum requirement of the Board.

THE CITY OF RICHMOND HEREBY ORDAINS:
§ 1. That section 2-896 of the Code of the City of Richmond (2020) be and is hereby amended and reordained as follows:
Sec. 2-896. Administration.
The Office of Community Wealth Building shall provide the necessary support for the Board. The Board shall meet at least once each quarter and as often as the Board may deem necessary. The Board shall keep minutes of its meetings in accordance with the requirements of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act. [Nine] A majority of the duly appointed and serving members of the Board shall constitute a quorum. The Board shall select from among its membership a member who is a resident of the City of Richmond to serve as co-Chair of the Board with the member of the Council pursuant to Section 2-894. The Board may adopt rules of procedure or bylaws, approved as to form and legality by the City Attorney and not inconsistent with this division or other applicable law, to govern the conduct of its meetings and affairs.
§ 2. This ordinance shall be in force and effect upon adoption.
