WHEREAS, the Council believes that it is in the best interests of the citizens of the City of Richmond that the Council establish a policy that the Council limit its legislative proposals for the Virginia General Assembly 2023 Regular Session and all subsequent sessions of the Virginia General Assembly to no more than five proposals for the purpose of clearly defining the Council’s priorities and focusing the City’s legislative efforts on the matters of greatest urgency;

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND:

                     That it is the policy of the Council that the Council limit its legislative proposals for the Virginia General Assembly 2023 Regular Session and all subsequent sessions of the Virginia General Assembly to no more than five proposals for the purpose of clearly defining the Council’s priorities and focusing the City’s legislative efforts on the matters of greatest urgency
