To amend Ord. No. 2022-003, which amended the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Special Fund Budget by creating a new special fund for the Office of the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Human Services called the Advancing Health Literacy Special Fund, the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 General Fund Budget by transferring $4,000,000.00 from the Office of the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Human Services to the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Special Fund Budget, and the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Special Fund Budget by increasing estimated revenues and the amount appropriated to the Office of the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Human Services’ Advancing Health Literacy Special Fund by $4,000,000.00 for the purpose of funding a collaborative community health literacy program, to reduce the amount transferred from the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 General Fund Budget, Office of the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Human Services, and appropriated to the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Special Fund Budget, Office of the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Human Services’ Advancing Health Literacy Special Fund, from $4,000,000.00 to $2,843,640.00 to reflect accurately the amount of the appropriation available to be transferred.

THE CITY OF RICHMOND HEREBY ORDAINS:

I.                     That Ordinance No. 2021-003, adopted January 24, 2022, be and is hereby amended and reordained as follows:

§ 1.                     That Ordinance No. 2021-041, adopted May 24, 2021, which adopted a Special Fund Budget for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2021, and ending June 30, 2022, and made appropriations pursuant thereto, be and is hereby amended by creating a new special fund for the Office of the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Human Services called the Advancing Health Literacy Special Fund for the purpose of funding a collaborative community health literacy program.  

§ 2.                     That Ordinance No. 2021-040, adopted May 24, 2021, which adopted a General Fund Budget for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2021, and ending June 30, 2022, and made appropriations pursuant thereto, be and is hereby amended by transferring funds in the amount of [$4,000,000.00] $2,843,640.00 from the Office of the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Human Services to the Special Fund Budget for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2021, and ending June 30, 2022.

§ 3.                     That the funds transferred from the Office of the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Human Services are hereby appropriated to the Special Fund Budget for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2021, and ending June 30, 2022, by increasing estimated revenues by [$4,000,000.00] $2,843,640.00, increasing the amount appropriated for expenditures by [$4,000,000.00] $2,843,640.00, and allotting to the Office of the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Human Services’ Advancing Health Literacy Special Fund the sum of [$4,000,000.00] $2,843,640.00 for the purpose of funding a collaborative community health literacy program.

§ 4.                     This ordinance shall be in force and effect upon adoption.

II.                     This amendatory ordinance shall be in force and effect upon adoption.
