THE CITY OF RICHMOND HEREBY ORDAINS:

 

I.                     That a City Ordinance, adopted December 15, 1922, is hereby amended and reordained as follows:

§ 1.                      That a lot of ground containing 4559 square feet, abutting 97 feet on the west side of Harrison Street 39 feet on the northern line of an unnamed drive 97 feet on the eastern line of a walkway and fronting 55 feet on the north side of Riverview Cemetery, said lot of ground being known and designated as the eastern portion of Plat A in the Division and Plat of Riverview Cemetery, be and the same is hereby donated to Post Number One of the American Legion, located in the City of Richmond, to be used for the burial of those [soldiers, sailors and marines who served in the World War who die in destitute circumstances and] indigent military veterans of all American wars and conflicts who otherwise would be buried at the expense of the said City.

§ 2.                     This ordinance shall be in force from its passage.

II.                     This amendatory ordinance shall be in force and effect upon adoption.
