To support the application for an allocation of $10,000,000 through the Virginia Department of Transportation Revenue Sharing Program to provide maintenance and construction assistance to certain transportation projects.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond desires to submit an application for an allocation of funds of up to $10,000,000 through the Virginia Department of Transportation Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Revenue Sharing Program; and
WHEREAS, $10,000,000 of these funds are requested to fund the construction and maintenance projects set forth on a document entitled “City of Richmond, FY 23-24 VDOT Revenue Sharing Program Project List” and attached to this resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND;
That the Council of the City of Richmond hereby supports this application for an allocation of $10,000,000 through the Virginia Department of Transportation Revenue Sharing Program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
That the City hereby agrees to commit to its share of the total cost for preliminary engineering, right-of-way and construction of the project or projects in accordance with the project financial documents.
