To encourage the School Board of the City of Richmond to plant a tree in memory of Aajah Rosemond at Thomas C. Boushall Middle School.
Body
WHEREAS, on October 18, 2020, Aajah Rosemond was fatally injured when struck by a vehicle at the intersection of German School Road and Jahnke Road; and
WHEREAS, at the time of her passing, Aajah Rosemond was a junior at George Wythe High School and a graduate of Thomas C. Boushall Middle School; and
WHEREAS, Aajah Rosemond, upon information and belief of the Council, is remembered by her family for her gentle disposition and for often spending time with her friends after school at Thomas C. Boushall Middle School; and
WHEREAS, the Council believes that it would be fitting to plant a tree in memory of Aajah Rosemond at Thomas C. Boushall Middle School; and
WHEREAS, the Council believes that it is in the best interests of the residents of the city of Richmond that the Council encourage the School Board of the City of Richmond to plant a tree in memory of Aajah Rosemond at Thomas C. Boushall Middle School;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND:
That the Council encourages the School Board of the City of Richmond to plant a tree in memory of Aajah Rosemond at Thomas C. Boushall Middle School.
