Title
To designate and incorporate certain City-owned properties located along Riverside Drive and West 22nd Street into Canoe Run Park.
Body
WHEREAS, the properties, with the tax parcel numbers as shown in the 2020 records of the City Assessor and listed on the document entitled “Parcels to be Added to Canoe Run Park” under the heading entitled “Parcels to be Added,” a copy of which is incorporated into and made a part of this ordinance, are currently owned by the City; and
WHEREAS, section 8-12 of the Code of the City of Richmond (2015), as amended, provides for the designation of the use of City-owned real estate by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Richmond that the City Council officially designate and incorporate such properties into an existing City park for their protection and preservation as natural areas for future recreational enjoyment;
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY OF RICHMOND HEREBY ORDAINS:
§ 1. That the properties, with the tax parcel numbers as shown in the 2020 records of the City Assessor and listed on the document entitled “Parcels to be Added to Canoe Run Park” under the heading entitled “Parcels to be Added,” a copy of which is incorporated into and made a part of this ordinance, are hereby designated and incorporated into Canoe Run Park and placed into the City’s park system.
§ 2. This ordinance shall be in force and effect upon adoption.
