No. 2019-042, adopted May 13, 2019, which adopted the Fiscal Year 2019-2020 special fund budgets and made appropriations pursuant thereto, by increasing estimated receipts and the amount appropriated to the Department of Public Works’ Special Parking District special fund by $363,000.00, for the purpose of (i) providing clearly marked crosswalks, (ii) providing off-duty police patrols for the purpose of responding to reports of loud noise and other disturbances associated with celebrations and festivities, and (iii) maintaining and improving safety and cleanliness in residential restricted parking districts in accordance with City Code § 27-282.

WHEREAS, the Parking Enterprise Fund Budget for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2019, and ending June 30, 2020, included an appropriation of $363,000.00 of estimated receipts from fines for parking in excess of the time limit on signs in a residential restricted parking district without a valid decal or pass for that district imposed by section 27-319(b)(3) of the Code of the City of Richmond (2015), as amended, that instead should have been appropriated to the Special Parking District special fund, identified in the Special Fund Budget for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2019, and ending June 30, 2020, as the Department of Public Works’ “DPW Special Parking District” special fund, pursuant to sections 27-281 through 27-284 of the Code of the City of Richmond (2015), as amended;

NOW, THEREFORE,

 

CITY OF RICHMOND HEREBY ORDAINS:

 

                     § 1.                     That Ordinance No. 2019-048, adopted May 13, 2019, which adopted the Department of Public Works’ Parking Enterprise Fund Budget for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2019, and ending June 30, 2020, and made appropriations pursuant thereto, be and is hereby amended by reducing estimated receipts and the appropriation for the Department of Public Works’ Parking Enterprise Fund by $363,000.00 and transferring such funds in the amount of $363,000.00.

§ 2.                     That Ordinance No. 2019-042, adopted May 13, 2019, which adopted the special fund budgets for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2019, and ending June 30, 2020, and made appropriations pursuant thereto, be and is hereby amended by increasing estimated receipts by $363,000.00, increasing the amount appropriated for expenditures by $363,000.00, and allotting to the Department of Public Works’ Special Parking District special fund the sum of $363,000.00, representing the funds transferred pursuant to section 1 of this ordinance, for the purpose of (i) providing clearly marked crosswalks, (ii) providing off-duty police patrols for the purpose of responding to reports of loud noise and other disturbances associated with celebrations and festivities, and (iii) maintaining and improving safety and cleanliness in residential restricted parking districts in accordance with section 27-282 of the Code of the City of Richmond (2015), as amended. 

§ 3.                     This ordinance shall be in force and effect upon adoption.
