WHEREAS, in accordance with sections 8-7 through 8-10 of the Code of the City of Richmond (2015), as amended, the University of Richmond, as the applicant, has requested that Boatwright Drive located between its intersection with Campus Drive and its intersection with the corporate boundary between the City of Richmond and the County of Henrico be named "College Road;"
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND:
1. That Boatwright Drive located between its intersection with Campus Drive and its intersection with the corporate boundary between the City of Richmond and the County of Henrico and shown with crosshatched lines on a drawing prepared by the Department of Public Works, designated as DPW Drawing No. N-28847, dated November 5, 2018, and entitled "Proposed Street Name Change of a Portion of Boatwright Drive to College Road Between Campus Drive and the Henrico County Line," a copy of which drawing is attached to and incorporated into this resolution, be and hereby is named and designated as "College Road."
2. That, in order to effectuate the provisions of paragraph 1 of this resolution, the Chief Administrative Officer shall (i) cause the appropriate City agency to prepare and erect signs appropriately marking "College Road," (ii) request that all City agencies note such naming in the records maintained by each such agency, and (iii) take all other appropriate actions to effectuate the naming of the street as "College Road."
3. That paragraphs 1 and 2 of this resolution shall be effective only upon the completion of the following to the satisfaction of the Chief Administrative Officer within 12 months from the date on which this resolution is adopted:
