To request the Commonwealth Transportation Board to establish the Patterson Avenue - Libbie Avenue Streetscape Improvement project to fund the installation of pedestrian safety improvements, including new sidewalks, Americans with Disabilities-accessible curb ramps, and modifications to private entrances, and streetscape improvements, including drainage improvements, site furniture, and buffering landscaping along Patterson Avenue at its intersection with Libbie Avenue to its intersection with Maple Avenue.

WHEREAS, in accordance with the Commonwealth Transportation Board's construction allocation procedures, it is necessary that the City Council by resolution request that the Board establish the Patterson Avenue - Libbie Avenue Streetscape Improvement project to fund the installation of pedestrian safety improvements, including new sidewalks, Americans with Disabilities-accessible curb ramps, and modifications to private entrances, and streetscape improvements, including drainage improvements, site furniture, and buffering landscaping along Patterson Avenue at its intersection with Libbie Avenue to its intersection with Maple Avenue;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND:
That the City of Richmond, Virginia, requests the Commonwealth Transportation Board establish the Patterson Avenue - Libbie Avenue Streetscape Improvement project to fund the installation of pedestrian safety improvements, including new sidewalks, Americans with Disabilities-accessible curb ramps, and modifications to private entrances, and streetscape improvements, including drainage improvements, site furniture, and buffering landscaping along Patterson Avenue at its intersection with Libbie Avenue to its intersection with Maple Avenue using $1,000,000.00 in federal Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside funding.
