To approve the Richmond Behavioral Health Authority's performance contract for Fiscal Year 2026 and Fiscal Year 2027.
Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 37.2-608(B) of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, the governing body of a political subdivision is required to approve the performance contract submitted by its behavioral health authority by September 30 of each year; and
WHEREAS, the Richmond Behavioral Health Authority has submitted to the Council a performance contract for the periods commencing July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2026, and commencing July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND:
That the Council of the City of Richmond hereby approves the Richmond Behavioral Health Authority's performance contract for the periods commencing July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2026, and commencing July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027. Such performance contract shall be substantially in the form of the documents attached hereto.

PURPOSE: This resolution approves the Richmond Behavioral Health Authority's performance contract for Fiscal Year 2026 and Fiscal Year 2027. State law provides municipalities the opportunity to review and approve plans for funding services to local consumers with mental health, developmental, and substance use challenges.
