To (i) amend Ord. No. 2021-291, adopted Oct. 25, 2021, which authorized the Chief Administrative Officer, for and on behalf of the City of Richmond, to accept the first tranche of American Rescue Plan Act funds in the amount of $77,439,914.00 from the United States Department of the Treasury and amended the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 General Fund Budget by increasing estimated revenues and the amount appropriated to the General Fund Budget for certain agencies and reserves for contingencies by $35,639,914.00, by transferring a portion of such $35,639,914.00 in the amount of $60,000.00 from the Department of Neighborhood and Community Services, formerly known as the Office of the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Human Services; and (ii) amend Ord. No. 2024-099, adopted May 13, 2024, which adopted the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 General Fund Budget and made appropriations pursuant thereto, by creating certain new line items in the Non-Departmental agency and the amount appropriated to such new line items in the Non-Departmental agency by $60,000.00, all for the purpose of providing grants to expand access to early childhood care and education programs.

THE CITY OF RICHMOND HEREBY ORDAINS:

That Ordinance No. 2021-291, adopted October 25, 2021, which authorized the Chief Administrative Officer, for and on behalf of the City of Richmond, to accept the first tranche of American Rescue Plan Act funds in the amount of $77,439,914.00 from the United States Department of the Treasury and amended the General Fund Budget for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2021, and ending June 30, 2022, by increasing estimated revenues and the amount appropriated to the General Fund Budget for certain agencies and reserves for contingencies by $35,639,914.00, by transferring a portion of such $35,639,914.00 in the amount of $60,000.00 from the Department of Neighborhood and Community Services, formerly known as the Office of the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer f...
