To repeal Res. No. 2020-R025, adopted Mar. 16, 2020, and concur with the Mayor’s judgment that all emergency actions have been taken with regard to and therefore end the local emergency that existed as a result of the potential spread of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus known as “COVID-19,” to which the Council consented via Res. No. 2020-R025, adopted Mar. 16, 2020.

WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Richmond, as the City’s Director of Emergency Management, declared that a local emergency existed as a result of the potential spread of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 2020-R025, adopted March 16, 2020, and pursuant to section 44-146.21(A) of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, the Council of the City of Richmond consented to the Mayor’s declaration of such local emergency; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor now indicates that the basis for his declaration of such local emergency has ended; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 44-146.2l(A) of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, the Council must take appropriate action to end this declared emergency;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND:
That, pursuant to section 44-146.2l(A) of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, the Council concurs with the Mayor’s judgment that all emergency actions have been taken with regard to and therefore hereby ends the local emergency to which the Council consented via Resolution No. 2020-R025, adopted March 16, 2020.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
That, pursuant to section 44-146.2l(A) of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, Resolution No. 2020-R025, adopted March 16, 2020, concerning the Council’s consent to the Mayor’s declaration of a local emergency as a result of the potential spread of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus, be and is hereby repealed.
