To repeal Res. No. 2026-R005, adopted February 9, 2026, concerning the effects of a winter storm and Res.  No. 2026-R006, adopted February 9, 2026, concerning the effects of a winter storm, because the states of emergency have ended.

WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Richmond, as the City’s Director of Emergency Management, declared that certain states of emergency existed as a result of the effects of severe winter weather related to two winter storms; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 44-146.21(A) of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, the Council of the City of Richmond consented to the Mayor’s declaration of such states of local emergency by Resolution No. 2026-R005, adopted February 9, 2026, concerning the effects of severe winter weather and Res. No. 2026-R006, adopted February 9, 2026, concerning the effects of severe winter weather; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 44-146.2l(A) of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, the Council, when all emergency actions have been taken, must take appropriate action to end the declared emergencies;

NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND:

That, pursuant to section 44-146.21(A) of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, Resolution No. 2026-R005, adopted February 9, 2026, concerning the effects of severe winter weather, and Resolution No. 2026-R006, adopted February 9, 2026, be and are hereby repealed, as those respective states of emergency have ended.
