To amend Res. No. 2022-R010, adopted Feb. 28, 2022, which expressed the City Council’s support for and request that the Commonwealth Transportation Board provide funding for the City’s SMART SCALE candidate projects for 2022, to expand the City’s SMART SCALE candidate projects for 2022 to include projects for which joint applications have been submitted on behalf of the City by the County of Henrico and the County of Chesterfield.

I. That Resolution No. 2022-R010, adopted February 28, 2022, be and is hereby amended as follows:
WHEREAS, the policies of the Commonwealth Transportation Board require that a locality applying for funding for a transportation project under the prioritization process set forth in section 33.2-214.1 of the Code of Virginia (1950), as amended, submit a resolution of support for the application for such project duly adopted by its governing body;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND:
That the Council hereby expresses its support for and requests the Commonwealth Transportation Board to provide funding for the SMART SCALE candidate projects to be submitted in 2022 that are set forth on the document entitled “City of Richmond, VA, Smart Scale Program Candidate Projects for Round 5,” Attachment B of the document entitled “Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors Agenda, Meeting Date: May 26, 2022, Item Number: 13.B.9.,” and the document entitled “County of Henrico, Virginia, Board of Supervisors, Minute, Agenda Item No. 195-22,”[a copy] copies of which [is] are attached to this resolution.
II. This amendatory resolution shall be in force and effect upon adoption.
