Title: To amend Ord. THE CITY OF RICHMOND HEREBY ORDAINS:

§ 1.                     That Ordinance No. 2020-055, adopted May 9, 2022, which adopted a General Fund Budget for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2022, and ending June 30, 2023, and made appropriations pursuant thereto, is hereby amended by:

(a)                     Increasing estimated revenues from real estate taxes by $21,028,104.00; and

(b)                     Appropriating $17,107,509.00 of the $21,028,104.00 increase in estimated revenues described in subsection (a) of this section to various agencies and non-departmental programs as shown on the two-page document entitled “General Fund Amendment,” a copy of which is incorporated into and made a part of this ordinance.

§ 3.                     That $100,000.00 of the increase in appropriations for the Department of Economic Development is authorized to be disbursed to the Economic Development Authority for the purpose of business recruitment and retention activities, implementation of the Strategic Plan for Equitable Economic Development, and expenses related to the City Center redevelopment project.

§ 4.                     This ordinance shall be in force and effect upon adoption.
