THE CITY OF RICHMOND HEREBY ORDAINS:

 

                     § 1.                     That the Chief Administrative Officer is authorized to accept funds for the City of Richmond in the amount of $375,000.00 from the United States Department of Justice for the purpose of reducing elder abuse in the city of Richmond.

§ 2.                     That Ordinance No. 2019-042, adopted May 13, 2019, which adopted a Special Fund Budget for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2019, and ending June 30, 2020, and made appropriations pursuant thereto, be and is hereby amended by creating a new special fund for the Commonwealth’s Attorney called the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s FY 2020 Elder Abuse Prevention Special Budget Fund for the purpose of reducing elder abuse in the city of Richmond.

§ 3.                     That Ordinance No. 2019-042, adopted May 13, 2019, which adopted a Special Fund Budget for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2019, and ending June 30, 2020, and made appropriations pursuant thereto, be and is hereby amended by increasing revenues from the funds accepted pursuant to section 1 of this ordinance by $375,000.00 and increasing the amount appropriated to the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s FY 2020 Elder Abuse Prevention Special Budget Fund by $375,000.00 for the purpose of reducing elder abuse in the city of Richmond. 

§ 4.                      This ordinance shall be in force and effect upon adoption.
