To adopt a strategic multimodal transportation plan for the City entitled “Path to Equity: A Policy Guide for Richmond Connects.”

WHEREAS, to address the challenges in providing inclusive and equitable multimodal transportation to all residents of the city of Richmond, a plan was developed for the City entitled “Path to Equity: A Policy Guide for Richmond Connects,” prepared for the City by Michael Baker International and dated February 2022, (hereinafter, the “Plan”), a copy of which is attached to this resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Plan is a strategic framework outlining how, over the next several years, the City will meet its goal to provide inclusive and equitable multimodal transportation to meet the needs of residents in the city of Richmond seeking accessible multimodal transportation; and
WHEREAS, the Council believes that it is in the best interests of the citizens of the City of Richmond that the Council adopt the Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND:
That the Council hereby adopts the strategic multimodal transportation plan entitled “Path to Equity: A Policy Guide for Richmond Connects,” prepared for the City by Michael Baker International and dated February 2022, a copy of which is attached to this resolution.
